Brendan’s tasty Christmas treat from the Mournes now easier to enjoy
An award-winning Irish coffee liqueur, a traditional favourite for the Christmas party and gift season, is now available in sleek, convenient cans!
The launch of Killowen’s Gloria Irish Cream Liqueur in a can is a first for the cream liqueur sector.

Behind the latest innovation in Irish spirits is Killowen Distillery at Rostrevor in Co Down, a small batch distiller of whiskey, gin, rum and poitin that was founded by master distiller Brendan Carty in 2017.
The distillery, set high in the Mournes overlooking Carlingford Lough, has won a string of awards for the quality and innovation of its handcrafted spirits.

Brendan, an architect by profession, designed and supervised the construction of the small distillery which features historic techniques for producing whiskey.
Gloria is unique in that it is a cream liqueur aged in a cask for a rich flavour.
The liqueur recently gained access to the market in Canada.
Continues Brendan: “Gloria, our award-winning small batch coffee liqueur, is crafted with ethically sourced and naturally sweet beans blended with our signature pot-distilled spirit. The new cans mean Gloria can now be enjoyed anywhere: festivals, gatherings, fireside evenings, or simply chilled straight from the fridge.
“We decided to add Gloria in cans because good things should be easy to enjoy. Cans are portable, eco-friendly, lightweight and recyclable,” he adds.
The release of Gloria cans, Brendan describes as “an exciting milestone.
“Gloria was crowned ‘Best Other Spirit’ in last month’s Irish Whiskey Awards for the second year in a row. This back-to-back win underscores the craftsmanship, flavour and innovation behind Gloria, making its arrival in cans all the more worth celebrating.”
Canning the liqueur was carried out for Killowen by Two Stacks in Newry, an award-winning specialist in bonding and bottling whiskeys.
The two innovation-led companies have a close working relationship and business partnership since the formation of the distillery in Rostrevor. Two Stacks also won international acclaim for pioneering Irish whiskey in a can – Dram in a Can – which is now exported worldwide.
