With bases of operation in Antrim and Limerick, its services include furniture logistics and storage, retail deliveries, home deliveries, and warehousing.

In recent years, the business has expanded its offering to include logistics services to other sectors. In 2019, it secured a haulage contract for the movement of high-value medical equipment, including CT and MRI scanners, between hospitals. In recent weeks it has supported HSCNI with the movement of MRI scanners within NI to support its efforts in the fight against Covid-19.

W.S. Dennison Ltd is also currently managing PPE deliveries to hospitals and other care facilities in Antrim, Mid-Ulster, and Londonderry for the Northern Health & Social Care Trust.

Managing Director William Dennison, explained: “We have banked with Ulster Bank for many years now as we’ve grown the business and invested in our facilities and fleet. The bank has always supported our drive to deliver excellence in the logistics sector and its lending facilities have been instrumental to that success.

“In recent weeks, with the support of our Relationship Manager, Ryan Mawhinney, the bank has delivered this vital loan that is allowing us to maintain steady cash flow and to reinstate vehicles – to get trucks and staff back on the road – as we respond to demand for our logistics services within the healthcare sector.”

Girvan Gault, Director, Commercial Banking, Ulster Bank, continued: “Over the past 40 years W.S. Dennison Ltd has committed to a programme of reinvestment in its business which has served to strengthen its position as one of the leading companies of its kind in the UK and Ireland. This has also played an important part in enabling the business to diversify its offering to include healthcare logistics which is proving vital to so many on the frontline today. We’re extremely pleased to deliver this loan to provide cashflow relief to the team as they continue this work.”

Ryan Mawhinney, Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking NI, Ulster Bank, added: “William Dennison and the entire team have built a very successful business in W.S. Dennison Ltd over the past four decades. It remains one of Ulster Bank’s longstanding customers and one that we’ve backed over that 40-year history as it expanded its fleet, facilities and services. We’re very pleased to deliver this support package to the business which plays a vitally important role in the local economy for its foothold in the logistics supply chain.”
