Codec-dss picks Belfast for new office

The firm provides IT solutions including consulting, managed services, hardware and IT application development and deployment.

“Codec-dss Ltd has offices in the Republic of Ireland, Poland and Germany and now sees the UK market as being the next step to help grow its existing core areas of business,” said Bill Scott, Invest NI director of International Business.

“The company has chosen Northern Ireland for this new office due to the availability of a talented workforce and proximity to Great Britain.

“The new office is already up and running with four of the 10 new roles in place. The company is now looking to recruit consultant roles which will attract salaries of approximately £35,000. Once the project is fully operational it will generate £440,000 in annual salaries into the Northern Ireland economy.”

Codec-dss currently employs over 120 people across its offices, providing IT services and solutions to the private and public sectors and has recently signed the Department for Communities as a new client.

Invest NI has offered £45,000 towards the creation of the 10 new jobs.

“We have identified an opportunity to broaden our geographical markets as well as continuing to cross sell our products and services,” said John Roddy of Codec-dss.

“We will be specifically targeting the GB market from the Northern Ireland office.

“We offer a great opportunity for newly graduated IT professionals and technical experts, providing training to help them become specialists and further enhance their career development, we are also looking to hire experienced candidates. We are impressed by the availability of skilled workers in Northern Ireland.
