bright’s Head of Marketing Victoria Millar said: “We’re delighted to be the Headline Partner for TEDxDerryLondonderryWomen. It’s great to be able to play a small role in bringing the first ever TEDx event to the city, and the fact that it focuses on female empowerment means it supports our core values here at bright. While I am lucky to be part of a team that encourages and nurtures women leaders, I know that’s not the case for everyone.

“As a society we’re still at a point where women face too many challenges simply because of their gender. Whether that’s in the workplace, at home or in everyday life. Events like TEDxDerryLondonderryWomen are vital to give girls and women across Northern Ireland the confidence and belief they need to overcome these challenges.

“From a personal perspective, as someone who is career focused and ambitious, as well as being a mum of one with another on the way, I can’t wait to hear from the amazing line up of speakers next Saturday. At bright we’re always thinking of future generations and I have no doubt that TEDxDerryLondonderryWomen will help to inspire more girls and women to “show up” and achieve their ambitions – and that’s something that is good for everyone.”

A small number of tickets remain available for the event and can be bought on www.eventbrite.co.uk.
