Council helps companies ‘Storify’ their business

Following the phenomenal success of its ‘Storify my Business’ pilot programme earlier this year, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is delighted to announce a brand new phase of the innovative marketing programme for small local tourism and hospitality businesses.

Building on the success of the initial initiative, participant capacity has been increased from 10 to 30 so even more local entrepreneurs can get involved in this unique programme designed to nurture their skills in developing and sharing their brand identity and services to a bigger audience.

‘Storify my Business’ gives participants from the tourism and hospitality sectors the essential knowledge, skills and insight to maximise their digital presence with engaging content, snappy copy and captivating promotional mediums.

Using a team of industry experts, each business will be encouraged to identify their own story and share it with a wider audience through a variety of means including digital marketing and social media.

In addition to this, everyone taking part will also be supported in the creation of content for Discover NI and MEA Borough Council websites that highlights their experience to tourists both at home and abroad.

All 30 participating businesses will also receive: A 1min 30sec and 30sec promotional video; A selection of professional photography; A range of written assets for use online and in print; Press & media support and Social media content support.

The programme is funded by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and participants will be required to make a £100 (plus VAT) contribution towards costs. All entries must be received by 12noon on Friday, October 30. Further information and eligibility criteria can be found by emailing: [email protected]

Adrian Hack of Lead the Way Tours participated in the first phase of ‘Storify my Business’ and encouraged other small business owners to get involved: “The program exceeded anything I could ever imagine, being out in the photo shoots has helped me realise that it’s really all about telling stories. My story is important to me, but I want it to be important to other people as well. I want the story of the town to be important to people.”
