Fibrus has already launched an extensive roll-out which is set to transform connectivity for regional and rural parts of Northern Ireland. The Fibrus full fibre broadband offer is now available to customers in Dundrum, Castlewellan, Newcastle, Ballynahinch & Killyleagh. The Mid Ulster area is next on the agenda and Fibrus plans to invest £21m in full-fibre digital infrastructure in that region over the next year.

Gillian McCarter, Head of Recruitment said: “We are delighted to be rolling out our hyperfast broadband services to towns and communities across Northern Ireland, providing families and businesses with access to revolutionary full-fibre broadband. As we increase the pace of our infrastructure roll out, and as we sign up more customers, we are also adding to our workforce at all levels. We have brought in additional staff in our operational and management teams and that recruitment drive will increase throughout the rest of this year and beyond.

“We believe that the Covid crisis and the subsequent lockdown measures have led to digital connectivity being regarded as a utility in the same way as light, heat and water. For work, life, health and access to services full fibre broadband is an essential product. More and more local businesses and their employees are now operating from home, trying to ensure work continues as normal. This requires, and in fact relies upon, uninterrupted access to efficient broadband.”
