Home Bargains opens Limavady store this Saturday with £4m investment and 90 jobs
As one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, Home Bargains is creating 90 new jobs in the local community with its store on Catherine Street, Limavady.

Hide AdIt will also be donating £2,000 to local charity Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI), a cross-community charity that works to serve the whole of the community across the Limavady borough.
Established in 1987, by a group of local people concerned by the increasing levels of unemployment in the area, the LCDI now employs around 70 people delivering a range of innovative projects throughout the borough and further afield.
Wendy McAleese, Finance Officer at LDCI said: “On behalf of LCDI, I want to say how delighted we are to have been selected by Home Bargains as its nominated charity on the opening of the new store here in the town. This generous donation will help support a number of our projects across the borough, such as Roevalley Community Meals, Limavady Food Bank & Social Supermarket, Limavady Toy Bank and many others.”

Hide AdThe new Limavady store will join over 500 outlets across the UK. Opening approximately 50 stores a year, Home Bargains is bucking current trends in the industry.
Ryan Kealy, the new Limavady store manager continued: “It’s a huge honour to be opening our new Limavady store this weekend and something that I’m exceptionally proud of. Having worked in retail for eight years, I’m thrilled to be joining the Home Bargains team. This is certainly a special moment and one I’ll cherish for the rest of my career.”
The 17,567 sq ft store will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food. The new store will also come with its own bakery, serving a delicious range of fresh bread, pastries and cakes that will be baked in-store daily.
