NI firm seeking over 200 workers to boost production of face shields

A Magherafelt firm is hoping to recruit 220 workers to help boost production of face shields for healthcare workers.

Bloc Blinds, which re-purposed their factory at Station Road and transformed Meadowbank Sports Arena to produce the personal protective equipment (PPE).

They have asked recruitment firm Riada to find 220 workers to start work over the next week.

The immediate requirement of the additional workers has come after the Magherafelt firm joined forces with Global packaging company, Huhtamaki to massively increase the production of the PPE.

They are set to deliver millions of 'Bloc FaceShields' for HSCNI Business Services Organisation over the next three months producing 500,000 face shields daily.
