The 10-week start-up programme for NI-based female founders, focuses on pathways to growth, connections and legacy. Supported by Ulster Bank it develops the entrepreneurial strength of Northern Ireland.

Connecting the Young Enterprise network, with the Startacus local and international network, the collaboration brings the best minds to support female founders on their journey. Whether at idea stage or established, the initiative encourages applications from the Derry City and the North West areas.

Carol Fitzsimons MBE, CEO of Young Enterprise said: “Young Enterprise is well known for inspiring many young people to become passionate about business start up. Through this partnership with Startacus, we aim to bring the strength of our alumni and mentor network to support local founders setting up their business.”

Alastair Cameron, co-founder of Startacus added: “Startacus is delighted to be collaborating with Young Enterprise NI on this important initiative. As our women in tech focused Lineup event in Derry City earlier in the year demonstrated, there is a growing local female founder base. We are keen to make sure that this programme offers tailored support to female founders across the North West and wider NI community, and to ensure that key barriers that they still face are addressed both during and after this programme.”

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the programme will combine virtual and face-to-face elements as appropriate.
