A Northern Ireland company has launched an innovative online service to revolutionise event planning across Ireland.

The new web service allows party planners in any county on the island to place all of the acts they desire for a perfect event in one online shopping basket with a few simple mouse clicks.

The company, which has sourced the top local acts and event services in all of the island’s 32 counties, is the brainchild of Derry entrepreneur Keith Donaghy.

Keith’s keen entrepreneurial spirit was evident while he was still a student. As others were dipping into their student loans to pay for digs and drinks, Keith was busy directing funds to launch his dream business.

“The business started out as KD Entertainments in 2002 with the help of finance from my student loan. I’m not so sure if that was what the banks intended but it seemed like a better way to make use of the money and certainly it worked well for me.

“We very quickly established a solid reputation for providing awesome parties. The business grew to a point which demanded something with a bigger reach and in 2012 Entertainment Ideas Online Ltd was born. Now we’re delighted to launch entertainmentideas.com to cater for all party solutions under one virtual roof.”

Keith adds: “Not only does entertainmentideas.com provide the very best entertainment solutions for event planners it also takes all the hassle out gigs for acts who work with us. Our mission statement is to provide advice to our clients on the best entertainment solutions for events while providing our acts with an income for their talents.”

So far entertainmentideas.com has attracted a large volume of traffic from international visitors.

“In particular, we’ve had loads of hits from people who are planning to travel to Ireland to get married. We’ve had a lot of queries from New Zealand, Australia, the US and England.

“My longer term plan is to expand into the wider British market and to franchise entertainmentideas.com in New Zealand, the US and Australia.”
