'Essential repairs will help ensure it remains safe': Coleraine company appointed to repair Portballintrae Harbour slipway following nearly 125,000 investment
CivCo Ltd in Garavagh has been appointed to repair and enhance Portballintrae harbour slipway
Portballintrae residents, harbour users, and visitors are set to benefit as Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council moves forward with plans to repair and enhance the harbour slipway following nearly 125,000 investment.

Council elected members have approved progressing the Portballintrae Harbour Slipway project to Stage 3 of the Council’s Capital Programme, paving the way for Coleraine-based CivCo Ltd in Garvagh to carry out the works.
Stage 3 of the Capital Programme will see a Council investment of £124,711 plus VAT, with a 15% contingency, reflecting the Council’s commitment to maintaining and improving infrastructure that supports local communities.
Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, councillor Oliver McMullan added: “The harbour slipway plays a vital role in daily harbour operations and is well used by fishermen, boat owners and visitors alike.
“These essential repairs will help ensure the slipway remains safe, functional and fit for purpose for years to come, protecting an important local asset at the heart of the village.”
Once ratified by Council, the project will move forward to delivery, and it is hoped that the works will commence in March and be completed by the start of this summer.
