Euro 2016 Northern Ireland shirt to be auctioned

Supporters of the Northern Ireland Soccer team - and anyone else who is keen on a piece of valuable memorabilia - are being given a chance to bid for a framed Northern Ireland Senior Team Shirt, signed by the UEFA Euros 2016 team themselves.

As Mid and East Antrim Borough Council finalises details of its live screenings of the games locally, for those who can’t make the games in France, the Mayor, Councillor Billy Ashe has put up the shirt in a ‘Silent Charity Auction’.

“This is in aid of my chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society, with all money raised going towards the charity’s caring role in providing information and advice, care and support for those suffering dementia as well as their families and in researching the cause, cure, care and prevention of the disease.

“Appropriately as we complete the arrangements for big screen ‘fan zones’ for the Northern Ireland games, I am urging support for this worthy cause.

“Please submit your bid by completing the online application. The auction will close at midnight on 1 June so the winner can wear his shirt with pride during the big games!” said Councillor Ashe.
