Introducing the trainers Teresa Canavan, Chief Executive of RDC said: “Farm Family Health and Safety workshops are due to commence on 1 November 2016 with trainers John Martin, John King and Basil Walker. These workshops are free to attend and are targeted at farmers, farm family members and farm workers. Hosted on farm, the workshops offer practical awareness covering the everyday hazards faced by the farming industry. Workshops will also introduce farmers to the new construction requirements and raise awareness of the ‘Making it Safer’ tool, a key requirement for the new Farm Business Improvement Scheme (FBIS). Workshops can run during week days, evenings or on Saturdays as demands request.”
