Fleckvieh dropped calf sales scheduled

The Northern Ireland Fleckvieh Club is staging a series of shows and sales for cross-bred Fleckvieh sired dropped calves.

Scheduled to take place at Kilrea, Omagh and Markethill marts, each sale will have two classes: Class 1, male calves under one-month-old on the day of the sale, and Class 2, male calves over one month-old.

Prize money will be: 1st £30, 2nd £20 and 3rd £10. The prize money will be withheld if calves are withdrawn from the sale unsold.

The sales are scheduled for the following dates and venues:

Thursday 1st December at Kilrea Mart. Judge is Sam Milliken, and the pre-sale show will be sponsored by William Gilmore from Spermex. Anyone interested in entering calves for this sale should contact William Gilmore on 07703 126908 or John Stewart on 07766 129363.

Monday 12th December at Omagh Mart. Judge is Denver Logan, and the sponsor is Jim Hamilton from SQ Genetics.
