Healthcare firm creates 120 new jobs for greater Belfast

The private domiciliary care provider will create the posts for full and part time roles will be for carers in a move coinciding with the official launch of the company’s new training suite at its headquarters at Boucher Road in Belfast.

The in-house training suite has been developed to provide cutting edge training and development support for both new and existing staff.

The new facility will also ensure the ongoing career development and career succession planning for the 147 staff in the existing Connected Health team.

The business’ services include domiciliary care, telecare, mental wellbeing, and community enablement and it works in collaboration with the public health and social care sector.

“We are delighted to announce the creation of 120 new roles in Connected Health over the next 12 months and officially open our new state-of-the-art training suite,” said chief executive Douglas Adams.

“In recent months the staff and board of have worked tirelessly to identify, pilot and roll out a range of initiatives and programmes to radically improve, augment and re-invent our approach to caring for older and more vulnerable people in their homes.

“This wider, strategic approach has culminated in our joint announcement.

Visiting the new training suite, Health Minister Simon Hamilton, praised the firm’s efforts in improving the provision of independent domiciliary care services in Northern Ireland.

“My Department has been working incredibly hard in partnership with the local Health Trusts to examine ways of improving the mechanisms for the delivery of care across communities in Northern Ireland.

“The efforts at Connected Health - in terms of both the new training facility and the jobs announcement - demonstrate that we have the knowledge, talent and ability to improve services to those who need them most within our communities.

“My Department will continue to examine best practice in this vital sector and ensure the wider health and social care ecology can integrate and complement in the most appropriate manner.”
