Farm Manager Robert Berry said: “Traditional ploughing is a real skill and is all about precision and control. This event has become a fixture in the museum calendar and we are delighted to be able to demonstrate skills like ploughing and blacksmithing in the fantastic setting of the Folk Museum.”

Robert added: “It’s a great day out for all the family and visitors can warm themselves with a taste of homemade broth or taste some traditional home baking in front of the open hearth fire.”

Demonstrations of traditional threshing, horse grooming and donkey work will also take place on Saturday.

Normal admission fees apply. For further information and to book visit www.nmni.com/uftm.
