The business, which has recently rebranded from Personnel and Training Services, is anticipating a significant uplift in work from Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, fuelled in large part by increasing demand for professional outsourced HR and Health and Safety services, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on businesses.

BeyondHR currently employs 10 HR and Health and Safety specialists and plans to have 10 more in place by 2025.

Neil McLeese, MD of BeyondHR, said the advisory firm is currently retained by 250 businesses across NI and Scotland, offering a range of services from HR consultancy, recruitment management and training.

He’s expecting strong business growth driven by an uplift for his firm’s range of HR advisory services, driven in part by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

He explained: “In the six years since we acquired the business we have doubled our turnover, the number of retained clients and the size of our consulting team.

“Our ambition is to continue growing our business across the UK and Ireland while constantly improving our services and service levels. Ultimately, we want to be the best at what we do and one of our goals is to create a HR Centre of Excellence at our Head Office in Ballymena that can provide support to our clients and field consultants across the UK and Ireland. As the lockdown restrictions have eased we have experienced an increased demand for our HR and Health and Safety services as employers plan for work and the working environment beyond furlough and lockdown.”

Last year, BeyondHR launched its new range of retained HR services to give its SMEs clients increased levels of support in niche areas such as restructuring / redundancy management and employee relations.

He added: “One of our value statements is ‘We’re People People’, which means we pride ourselves in our excellent customer service, building good working relationships and supporting our clients to provide them with the best HR service possible.”

BeyondHR, formerly known as Personnel and Training Services, was founded in 1992 prior to it being acquired in May 2014 by Neil McLeese and Helen Hardy. It currently employs 12 permanent staff and its client base includes well-known names like Smyths Toys, River Ridge Recycling and Punjana.
