Inch sale features best of three breeds

On Thursday, 20th October in Dungannon Mart, after the Club Sale, the Inch Herd offers its entire Autumn calving section.

The Inch Holsteins section consists of fresh calved and springing young cows and heifers from the proven Dellia, Daphne, Ivory, Roxy and Anne families.

This breeding has enabled the herd to twice win the Premier UK herd competition and be Premier herd in Northern Ireland six times. It is the only herd to have achieved such prestigious awards of excellence.

The Inch Friesians are founded on breed leading families –Daphne (bred five top young AI sires), Mist (dam of Maverick), Bertha (bred Glenalbyn) and Blossom. This sale offers several of the best members of these families that will produce the future sires in a growing breed.

The Inch Swedish Reds are the offspring of specially selected imports from Sweden and Denmark and are already providing high index bulls such as Inch Gain at Cogent.

The sale has 40 fresh-calved or springing cows and heifers. Also included are a few special heifer calves by Doorman, Atwood, Chad (top Friesian sire) and VR Donatlo (Swedish Red).

Two Friesian bulls – Inch Theo (five brothers in AI) and Inch Trail (dam pictured) are also in the sale.
