Inch Swedish Red heifers and bull for Dungannon

Using ET and proven imported semen many quality females have been produced to build up a good gene pool.

Jim Morrison is now able to offer pedigree females and this Thursday (23rd March) at 2pm will sell two outstanding heifers and a bull at Dungannon Mart.

The first heifer is Inch Buckarby Frida VG 86 and is bred from the imported EX 94 cow, Inch Frida, who was purchased for 3500 gns as a calved heifer and classified EX94 in her fifth lactation. She gave over 77 tonnes and had excellent fertility with an average of 1.1 inseminations per lactation resulting in an annual production of over 9000 kg at over 5% bf and 3.40%protein for eight years. This heifer is already pd in calf again to leading sire A Linne with heifer calf.

The other heifer is Inch Buckarby Pansy, bred from imported EX 92, Inch Pansy, who gave 9907kg 5.71%bf and 3.67% protein.

Buckarby, the sire of both these heifers was the number one proven sire in Sweden and semen was very limited.

The bull, Inch Persistent, is a son of a top genomic sire VR Porter. His dam is Inch Lens Joan 2 EX91 who gave 10604kgs 5.26%bf 3.42% protein. He is from same family as Inch Gain, a young AI sire at Cogent. He is bred from the imported cow, Jarna EX93.

These animals will be ideal stock for farmers wishing to take advantage of the benefits of hybrid vigour to produce an easily managed cow with high production, great components and exceptional health traits.
