Information sessions in Upper Bann

DUP Councillor Carla Lockhart has encouraged all within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area to attend the upcoming information sessions being held by the council for the Rural Development 2014 - 2020 measures Business Investment Scheme, Basic Services, Village Renewal and Broadband.

Speaking on the issue Councillor Lockhart said: “The new Rural Development scheme is significantly different to that of the previous and it vital that people who want to obtain money via this scheme be it to grow their rural business, create community facilities, improve broadband connection attend the information sessions that the council is holding.”

The information sessions will commence each evening from 7.30pm in the following venues:

r Market Place Theatre, Armagh, on 27th January

r Old Town Hall, Banbridge, on 2nd February

r Civic Centre, Lakeview Road, Craigavon, on 4thFebruary

“Information is key at this stage of the process and on the evenings there will be advice on the application process, funding available, and types of projects that are fundable.

“There will also be a strong focus on the Business Investment Scheme due to open subject to DARD’s approval and we will at this stage be requesting expressions of interests under all measures to gauge interest in the programme.”

Rural businesses specifically are advised to come along and particularly if you are considering diversification and growth.
