Its key export markets include Ireland, Australia and the United States, where the company has recorded annual growth of approximately 28%.

The latest funding package is expected to support further investment across the business, including product development, infrastructure and workforce expansion.

Jamie Foulkes, relationship director at Santander Corporate and Commercial Banking, said the bank was looking forward to supporting the company's future ambitions.

“We’re delighted that AES Global has chosen Santander as its long-term banking partner. Our team has worked to fully understand the business, its trade cycle and future growth requirements,” he explained. “It is an exciting time to be working together, and with a relationship focused approach, we have been able to provide a suitable product suite that is well matched to AES’s global focus and innovative proposition. We look forward to supporting the team on their next phase of growth.”

Kyle Loughran, managing director of AES Global, described the funding as an important milestone for the company.

“This funding package marks another important milestone for AES Global. The additional funding gives us the flexibility to continue investing in our people, our products, and our infrastructure, while supporting the growth opportunities we see across our key markets,” he added.

“The Santander team took their time to understand the business, where we've come from, what we've achieved, and where we want to go next. We are proud of what we’ve achieved so far and excited about the opportunities ahead. With the support of partners like Santander, we are well positioned to continue investing in the business, supporting our customers and delivering sustainable growth for many years to come."

Santander said its Corporate and Commercial Banking division continues to expand its presence in Northern Ireland, with a growing team focused on supporting businesses across key sectors including manufacturing and technology.

The bank added that it is seeing continued growth in its client base locally as firms seek support to invest, expand and navigate increasingly complex global markets.
