'It’s an exciting time': VodafoneThree brings 200 customer service jobs to Belfast
Customer care and sales roles form part of 400 jobs being brought back to the UK following the Vodafone–Three merger
VodafoneThree has announced it is bringing 400 customer contact jobs back to the UK, with 200 roles based in Belfast, marking the company’s largest recruitment drive both before and since the merger of Vodafone and Three.

The new positions, delivered through outsourcing partner Concentrix, will focus on specialist customer care and sales roles for Vodafone and Three customers. Recruitment is already underway in Belfast, with training for new agents having begun.
The Belfast roles will support customers across the UK and include training in a wide range of skills, such as supporting vulnerable customers. The new recruits will add to more than 830 existing Vodafone and Three customer specialists already based in Stoke and Glasgow, strengthening the company’s commitment to serving UK customers from UK locations.
VodafoneThree said the investment reflects its mission to build the UK’s best mobile network while supporting local economies and ensuring no community is left behind.
The jobs announcement comes alongside the company’s wider £11 billion investment in building a 5G Standalone network across the UK. This is expected to create around 9,000 engineering, construction and maintenance jobs, rising to 13,000 during peak rollout periods.
Economic modelling suggests the 5G Standalone network could add more than £2.9 billion to Northern Ireland’s economy over the next ten years, highlighting the long-term impact of digital infrastructure investment in the region.
Jon Shaw, consumer operations, VodafoneThree, said: “We firmly believe in having care teams where our customers are, and that means having teams based across the UK. It’s an exciting time to join VodafoneThree as we build the UK’s best network and set new standards for customer care in the industry.”
Lord Stockwood, Minister for Investment, added: “This is a major boost for our digital and tech sector, which will not only create over 400 jobs in Sheffield and Belfast but open up new opportunities for local communities and put more money in people’s pockets. Our modern Industrial Strategy is all about unleashing the potential of our cities and regions, so it’s great to see VodafoneThree investing and creating opportunity in every part of the country.”
Applications for the Belfast roles are now open via Concentrix.
