Jobs to go at Bombardier in Northern Ireland - COVID-19 pandemic blamed

Bombardier Aviation is to reduce the number of people it currently employees in Northern Ireland, the company has confirmed.

In a statement issued on Friday morning, Bombardier Aviation said the COVID-19 pandemic was to blame.

“Bombardier Aviation announced today that it would adjust its workforce to align with current market conditions reflecting the extraordinary industry interruptions and challenges caused by COVID-19.

"In light of this, we are reviewing our requirements for our Northern Ireland operations for all our aircraft programmes and will communicate any impact in due course. We have no announcement to make at this time.”
