Lagan group ends year with presentation

The Lagan Group finished a very successful 2015 with the December meeting taking the form of a lunch presentation, with guest speaker Brian Magee from New Holland.

Brian brought members through the years, as he provided a history of the New Holland tractor, as well as an in depth look at the brand itself and an insight into future models. Sponsors of the meeting, local dealership, Burkes, displayed one of their New Holland tractors, allowing members to have a look around it.

The first group meeting of the new year will see Adam Kelly of Leggygowan Farm, producers of goats cheese, artisan blue goats cheese and goats milk soap present to the group. Adam will focus on the benefits of social media in the agriculture industry, through the potential for increased sales and effective advertising. This will take place at AFBI, Hillsborough, on Monday, January 17, at 7.30pm.

Lagan Group members are encouraged to attend the UFU County Down annual dinner dance which will take place on Friday, February 5, 7.30pm at Millbrook Lodge Hotel, with entertainment provided by Fiddler Adam. Please contact the office for further information or to buy tickets.

It should also be mentioned that 2015 was a memorable year for two of the Lagan group managers, as Victoria got married in November and Alan welcomed his second daughter, Alice, in December.
