Lewis wins award for Royal School Armagh

Lewis Hamilton, from a farming background on Drumraw Road, Armagh, is the top student from Ulster to have entered Harper Adams University last September.

Each year the Association of Harper Adams graduates in Ireland awards a trophy to the school from which comes the top student. This year, Lewis Hamilton has won the award for the Royal School Armagh.

Lewis gained A Levels in Technology, Maths and Physics with ICT at AS level. He has joined the five-year Masters Degree programme in Engineering at Harper Adams University.

Lewis has been elected Treasurer of the Harper-Ireland Club for students from Ireland studying at Harper Adams.

In the Times Higher Education Survey of Student Experience published recently, Harper Adams University was second overall, from amongst 117 universities and colleges, for the experience offered to students. It came top for industry contacts, third for a good campus environment, fourth for the high quality of staff and lectures, and fifth for a good social life.
