The Product Design category showcases leading commercial brands and products such as cars, cameras, gadgets and appliances that have been exhibited as final prototypes or which went into production between June 2023 and May 2025.

Judges praised the EX90’s sleek electric and software-defined design, which emphasises the brand’s pioneering commitment to a future of safety, technology, sustainability and design.

The panel went on to applaud the car’s advanced sensor systems, noting: “A great complexity of technologies has gone into this vehicle, seamlessly integrating sophisticated sensors which advocates for a safer driving environment. The concentration of intelligence and innovation is off the charts.”

Available from £82,660, the Volvo EX90 model features a unique set of eight cameras, five radars and ultrasonic sensors as part of its driver-assistance and safety systems. Pairing technology with efficiency, the car covers up to 375 miles on a single charge with no tailpipe emissions.

Ciaran Dinsmore, at Agnew Belfast Volvo on Boucher Way, said: “We’re delighted to see the EX90 gain another tremendous badge of honour, this time as a worthy winner at the Dezeen Awards 2025.

“The EX90 is our largest fully electric SUV to date and offers all the premium quality and sustainability associated with Volvo, while defining a new era for safety.
