With the depressed farming industry it was encouraging to see farmers both young and old coming out and bidding for items.

The sale started outside at 9.30am with the tyres. Lots sold to £300 for a pair of Goodyear tyres and rims, £260 for a pair of Uni Royal 12.4 r32, £250 for a pair of tyres and rims, £250 for a pair of Goodyear tractor tyres.

The rain came and went but that did not deter the bidding as the outside sale followed on at 10.30am.

Items realised to a top of £10500 for Massey Ferguson 4245 tractor with loader. Other vehicles sold to £4200 for a Case 495, £3620 for a Kamatsu pc20 Track digger, and £2600 for a 1996 Landrover Defender.

Further outside machinery sold to £4400 for a NC 2050gal Slurry tanker, £3500 for a Redrock 2500gal Slurry tanker, £3000 for a 12ton Kane Silage trailer, £2400 for a Woods 12x7 tipping trailer, £2000 for a Disc Harrow, £2000 for a Fleming 900 Grass topper, £1820 for a Cattle Trailer, £1750 for a Stone Cart.

A smaller show inside saw items selling to £280 for a Power Washer, £160 for a sheep drafting gate, £140 for a corn fiddle, £130 for a petrol strimmer and £120 for some filing cabinets.

The next machinery sale will be held on Saturday 3rd September. Items can be left in the yard the week prior to the sale.
