Northern Ireland’s Rushmere Retail Park in Craigavon is set for a major retail boost this summer with the arrival of two high-profile brands — Dunelm and Sports Direct.
The new openings are also expected to deliver a welcome lift for local employment, with a range of full-time and part-time roles anticipated to be created as both retailers prepare to recruit ahead of launch.
The additions mark further momentum for the expanding retail destination, which continues to strengthen its line-up of national brands across fashion, home and lifestyle.
Home furnishings retailer Dunelm, which describes itself as “the UK’s leading home furnishings retailer,” is set to open in the coming weeks. The company will occupy two vacant units within the centre, which are being combined to form a larger, purpose-built store. The units were previously home to B&M Bargains and Poundstretcher, both of which have since closed.
Sports Direct is also preparing to open a new store at Rushmere, adding to the centre’s growing fashion and sports offering.
In a statement, Rushmere Retail Park said: “There’s even more to look forward to at Rushmere this summer. We’re delighted to announce that Sports Direct and Dunelm will soon be joining our line-up, bringing even more choice across fashion, home, and lifestyle. Although opening dates have yet to be officially revealed, the new summer arrivals are expected to increase footfall at the Craigavon complex, which has continued to expand its retail mix and attract leading UK brands in recent years.
