“The awards take into consideration the complete performance of a business; including financial success, operational excellence, strategy and HR processes and so achieving this accolade is indicative of our unwavering commitment to best practice in all areas as we continue to grow and diversify as a business,” said MD Cathal Geoghegan.

“It’s an exciting time for us; we have just made a £1.6 million investment in our state of the art new headquarters and have ambitious plans to reach revenue of £50m by 2020, with employee headcount projected to rise from 2,000 to 3,000 as we hit that target.

“Our overall vision is clear; to be both a business partner and employer of choice throughout Ireland and the UK,” he added.

Sixteen companies were awarded “Best Managed” status for the first time this year, following a detailed qualification and judging process.

Seventeen reached “gold standard” having secured best managed status for four consecutive years, while 10 others attained platinum club status.

“Congratulations to all the 2017 winners,” said Deloitte managing partner and judge Brendan Jennings.

“All the companies here tonight are at the end of a long process of evaluation, which makes their designation even more rewarding and valuable as a marketing tool for their business. It is clear that these companies make an invaluable contribution to the Irish economy - employing 60,000 people and generating turnover of €11bn.”
