For those elderly and vulnerable readers living outside those post code areas and across Northern Ireland, many retailers can deliver a copy of the News Letter to your home along with your essential food items.

These are: all SPAR and EUROSPAR outlets, Centra, Mace, Supervalu, Tesco, Costcutter and Nisa.

News Letter editor Alistair Bushe said: “I’m delighted that the News Letter and the other daily newspapers are pulling together to try and ensure that the trusted news we provide is reaching as many of our readers as possible.

“I appreciate that it’s difficult for people to obtain our newspaper at this very difficult time but there are good options for getting the paper delivered to homes.

“I know community groups are also offering this service for the elderly and vulnerable, including the young farmers.”

Irish News editor Noel Doran said: “It is unfortunate that the wider upheaval has made it more difficult for people to obtain their favourite titles, so it is entirely appropriate that the daily papers are joining forces to launch a new home delivery service for the Belfast area.”
