OCO Global to launch an audio broadcast series on Covid-19

International trade and export advisory firm OCO Global is launching a new audio broadcast series, due to significant global demand, to provide businesses with international insights on the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on trade, investment and FDI.

The Belfast based company has said that with companies throughout the UK, Ireland and internationally seeing unprecedented change within their markets, supply chains and order books they are seeking consistent and targeted insights on the economic impact of COVID 19, government interventions and sectoral changes are having on the business.

The company, which advises the UK’s Department for International Trade and Ireland’s Enterprise Ireland will draw on data, research and expert knowledge from their global teams as well as international business leaders across a range of industries and global government agencies.

The first episode of the series will feature CEO Mark O’Connell and Commercial Director Gareth Hagan who will provide an in-depth analysis of Investment Promotion Agency’s response to the crisis and a forward look strategy for post-crisis supply chains and business operations.

Gareth already leads a number of OCO’s most significant client relationships with the Department of International Trade and Invest Northern Ireland make him an ideal candidate to provide insights on outward and inward trade in the UK. He heads the company’s international network, working closely with American investment agencies which has developed his knowledge on the intricacies of UK-US trade. Gareth’s background in international business, the relationships he has developed across the globe and first-hand experiences with economic development provide him with invaluable knowledge and insights on international trade and investment.

While Mark established OCO Global in 2001, leading the company from a boutique consultancy firm and transforming it into a global agency with offices in key international trade hubs such as Tokyo, New York, London, Paris, Dubai and Shanghai. Mark is a well-known and respected figure in the international trade and investment arena across the world and is a regular speaker at conferences such as Select USA, State International Development Organisations and UN Conference on Trade and Development. He is also an advisor on a number of private sector boards in UK and Ireland along with serving on the International Economic Development Council in the US.

As the series progresses, the analysis will reflect the evolving situation shining a light on global market conditions and the reaction to it.
