One of Northern Ireland’s leading financial advice firms rounds off another successful year with £1bn AUM firmly in its sights
Milecross Financial, one of the UK and Northern Ireland’s leading financial advice firms, has revealed its ambitions to continue its growth journey and is on track to surpass £1bn assets under management (AUM) by Q1 2026.
This marks the next phase of nationwide growth following a milestone 20th anniversary year.

With more than 150 people across 30 locations and a client base exceeding 35,000, Milecross is one of the biggest firms within The Openwork Partnership and provides holistic advice services across investments, pensions, mortgage and protection. The company currently manages approximately £835 million in assets under management (AUM), oversees more than £600 million of mortgage lending per annum, and operates a network of around 100 advisers across the UK.
Since the start of 2024, Milecross has completed 6 strategic business acquisitions, strengthening its presence across Northern Ireland, Scotland, the North and South of England, and, most recently, Wales. The company has set its sights on further UK expansion as part of a long-term strategy to grow its adviser network, regional reach, and client base.
Following its acquisition by The Openwork Partnership earlier this year, Milecross continues its strong growth trajectory while maintaining its individual culture and people-first ethos, delivering trusted financial advice to a growing audience across the UK.
Commenting on Milecross’s continued strong growth in recent years Paul Dalzell, Founder and CEO at Milecross said, “As we look ahead to surpassing £1 billion AUM, I am incredibly proud of how our business has grown through strategic acquisitions and a relentless focus on client relationships. From our roots in Northern Ireland to a UK-wide presence, we have built our business on trusted and personalised advice across mortgages, protection, wealth management and retirement planning.
The next chapter will see Milecross strengthen its nationwide reach while empowering the next generation of advisers to continue delivering the local, people-first service that defines who we are - well into the future.”
Rob Barker, CEO of Openwork commented, “Milecross continues to be a model for sustainable growth in our network. Their leadership, culture and client first approach perfectly reflects the values of The Openwork Partnership. We’re proud to be supporting their next phase of expansion as they build on two decades of exceptional success.”
As the financial advice market evolves, Milecross is well positioned to meet rising client demand through its expanded footprint, growing adviser base, and strengthened partnership with Openwork – ensuring continued growth and a strong platform for the future.
