Plans for former Finvoy Fun Farm submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Council

Plans for a change of use at a former fun farm outside Ballymoney have been submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Council.

The planning application is for buildings at 7 and 7a Drumlee Road, Ballymoney, which was previously known as Finvoy Fun Farm.

The former fun farm acquired planning permission in 2007 and comprised a tea room, indoor soft play area, visitor centre, indoor animal pens where visitors could feed the animals and an outdoor play area.

The fun farm ceased operation around 2016 or 2017.

Now a planning application has been submitted for change of use for agricultural storage and light industrial use.

A supporting planning statement says that the “proposal avails of existing buildings and there is to be no further operational development. Storage will be contained in existing buildings”.

"The proposed use will be contained inside the existing buildings and there are to be no new buildings,” the statement added. The application is under consideration by Council’s Planning Committee.
