Portrush's Port Hotel to change hands as owners of Curry's Funpark take over
A well-known Portrush hotel is set to change ownership after more than 30 years in the hands of its current owners.
The Port Hotel on the town’s Main Street has long been a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
It has been bought over by the Curry family who operate Curry’s Funpark, formerly Barry’s Amusements.
The Port Hotel owners Mark and Andrea Johnson and Joan Torrens took to social media on Wednesday, July 1, to say farewell to their loyal customer base.

The post said: “Mark, Andrea & Joan would like to thank all their loyal customers, who have supported us over the last 30+ years.
"It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the fantastic staff, old and present, who have served you all during this time.
"We wish the Curry family every success on their new venture and the team will continue working with them.”
Some of the responses on social media included: “All the very best in your retirement, loved all our holidays we spent with you, just the best hotel ever, home from home”, “All the best to Mark and Andrea we really enjoyed staying in the Port Hotel and many a good night's craic we had at the karaoke and good luck to the new owners” and “Was such a pleasure to work in a place that made you feel like family. Thank you both for everything over the years of working in the Port Hotel, wish you both a happy and relaxing retirement.”
