Established in 1975, Portview has evolved from a mainstream construction company into a detail-driven contractor that works will well-known brands such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Issey Miyake, Tiffany, and Fortnum & Mason.

The company is owned and run by the senior management team, and employs a workforce of over 80 employees.

For the year to 30 November 2016, Portview reported turnover of £40.4m compared to £41.1m the previous 12 months. Of this total, £38.2m came from UK sales (2015: £40.3m) and £2.2m (2015: £831,994) was courtesy of income from elsewhere in Europe.

However, pre-tax profits were up from £2.24m to £3.2m.

Portview said it had “performed strongly” this year having maintained the levels established in 2015.

“There has been a good mix of work across the retail, office, high-end residential and stadia sectors,” it added. “The company will continue to pursue high-end work which reflects its skill set.

“The environment remains very competitive but repeat business remains high at 83 per cent, underpinning the level of work at the £40m mark.

Portview is known for its involvement in a variety of projects including the fit-out of numerous hospitality suites and VIP lounges at West Ham United’s London Stadium, the complete redesign of Chelsea Court Place, and work on Fortnum & Mason’s London Piccadilly store.
