Prospect Angus herd to hold production sale
The herd was formed in 2008 with the purchase of a hand picked female from Robert Steenson’s Cavanbellaghy herd. There are 12 lots descending from this prolific Ermine cow family included in the sales catalogue.
Another line of breeding came from David Whan, Slievecroob – the Edna and Mossbank Evana family.

Hide AdSidney also invested in the Jan family from the late John Cromie’s Millvale Herd. This super cow is one of our best cows - “Prospect Jan J185” who is dam of the senior stock bull Prospect Lord Jake M412.
Purchases were made from Timmy Scott and his father Sam, breeders of the Drumawhey Herd, and these purchases produced Black Bella, Lady Tart and Lady Tilda. The breeding of the stock bull, Drumawhey Peer N553 , goes back to Netherton Pinky Pride O33 (his Dam’s, Grand Dam) and his sire Old Glenort Knockmore J153 is a son of the famous The Moss Mr Eshton D409.
The sale offers a super opportunity for new or established herds to source quality cattle that are ran on a commercial basis. Export can be arranged post sale, and all stock are managed under the AFBI cattle health scheme guidelines.
The sale features cows with calves at foot, cows and heifers in calf, maiden heifers and young bulls. There are also eight commercial Angus heifers in calf/maidens.
The sale will commence at 12 noon. For all pre sale enquiries and catalogues please contact Richard Beattie 07984694616.
