A previous application was presented and approved by planning committee in December 2024.

The latest application amalgamates one of the proposed apartment blocks and the children centre to create an additional 15 apartment units.

All other housing units and apartment blocks remain unchanged.

According to a report to be scrutinised by Belfast councillors later this week (February 17), the proposal is providing new homes in a highly sustainable location and in an area of high housing need.

It is recommended that planning permission is granted subject to conditions and a section 76 planning agreement.
