According to the Department for Infrastructure, a £170,000 road improvement scheme at Gray’s Lane in North Belfast will start on Monday 7 December 2020.

Their statement reveals that the resurfacing works will extend the entire length of the street, a distance of almost one kilometre.

To facilitate the work it will be necessary to implement a series of weekday road closures from Monday 7 December until Wednesday 16 December 2020 between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signed and access for residents will be maintained as much as possible.

Whilst the Department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, road users should expect some delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.

Completion of the scheme by 16 December will be dependent on favourable weather conditions, however, the Department will keep the public informed of any change. All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of working in place for staff and contractors.
