Seattle consulting business, Envorso, to set up professional services centre in Norther Ireland

The firm is headquartered in Seattle and employs c50 people in the US. It helps companies implement new business capabilities, reduce cost, improve compliance, and drive new revenues via disruptive technologies and improved ways of working.

The company includes Ford Motor Company, Rivian, Aptiv and Microsoft amongst its customers.

Kevin Holland, CEO, Invest Northern Ireland said: “This new centre will provide professional business solutions and services to the company’s existing global clients, such as Ford and Microsoft, as well as enable Envorso to develop and service new clients in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

“Adrian Balfour has a strong pedigree as an entrepreneur and successful businessman with his interests also extending to US Rugby Union and farming.

“It is wonderful to see him choose his native Northern Ireland to grow his new business and bring back some of this knowledge, connections and expertise to benefit our local economy.”

The company plans to create 19 jobs by the end of 2021.

The local leadership team is already forming, led by Brian Taylor, a Partner in Envorso, and his senior UK advisory team.

Invest NI has offered £95,000 of support. The new roles will attract average salaries c£40k.

Envorso Founder, Adrian Balfour, said: “We have seen rapid growth of our business in the US since our formation in 2016 with expansion in the Automotive and Financial Services sectors.

“We are looking to develop into other vertical markets as well as expand into the UK, Ireland and European markets.

“The new operation in Belfast will help us realise this ambition and service these new clients.

“As a Northern Ireland native I know what this country has to offer, but I have been really impressed by the quality of talent here, and the engagement between business, government and academia.

“I am confident that locating this new hub here in Northern Ireland will provide the best platform for us to expand into Europe.”

Envorso focuses on organisations with portfolios of complex change management programs in key sectors such as automotive and financial services, along with multinational corporate and mid-tier organisations.
