The new workshops have been specially designed by Niall Greenan and Fionnbharr Toolan of Ironfit Belfast using their unique coaching style and specialism for strength and movement training and are open for anyone to attend.

Moya Verling, Brand Marketing Manager for Flahavan’s Porridge commented: “At Flahavan’s we understand the intrinsic link between diet and exercise in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, something which is echoed by Slim’s ethos of ‘Choose Balance.’ A nutritional breakfast is essential for anyone taking their first steps towards a balanced diet.

“Oats are a naturally healthy way to start the day and we were delighted to give everyone a post-workout pot of porridge after the first class, perfect to refuel the body after a training session.

“The workshops are a fantastic way to encourage people who may be new to group exercise to give it a go or for seasoned pros to try something different. We are giving away a sachet of porridge to each participant following each class and there will be Flahavan’s superfood hampers up for grabs as well.”

Speaking at the launch, founder of Slim’s Healthy Kitchen Gary McIldowney said: “I hope these movement workshops will be a motivational catalyst for members of the public looking to improve their flexibility and fitness.

“The trainers from Ironfit will show you that using your own body and without equipment, literally any space can be transformed into a gym environment for a great workout.

“The trainers will be on hand to give advice on training and nutrition so there’s no excuse not to come along and train.”

The Primal Movement workshops are available for all ages and abilities, focusing on strength and movement, and will run for the next six weeks, free of charge in Methody’s Sports Hall.
