Cunningham has also appointed John Cunningham as managing director of its Mission Critical Division, which specialises in complex infrastructure projects for data centres.

The two new contracts include a battery energy storage system (BESS) project at an existing hyperscale data centre campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin, and a civil, structural and architectural package on a major data centre development in Skellefteå, Sweden.

The Dublin project will involve the installation and integration of a battery energy storage system, including transformers and connections to existing network infrastructure, alongside associated construction works.

The eight-month project is designed to support greater operational resilience and efficiency at the facility.

In Sweden, Cunningham has secured a 12-month contract to deliver civil, structural and architectural works as part of a large hyperscale data centre development.

The award marks a further step in the company's expansion into the Swedish market, building on its established presence in Ireland and growing operations in Germany.
