'We can’t wait to open our doors': New Food Warehouse to open next week with major deals and 50 jobs in Co Down
Bloomfield Retail Park store will open next Tuesday with £1,500 in vouchers up for grabs, exclusive deals and a chance to win a 90-second supermarket sweep
A new Iceland Foods The Food Warehouse store is set to open at Bloomfield Retail Park in Bangor next week, creating around 50 jobs in the local community.
The new store will open its doors on Tuesday, September 8, offering shoppers a larger range of frozen, fresh and grocery products, as well as a host of opening-week promotions.
To mark the launch, The Food Warehouse will give away £1,500 worth of vouchers to the first 150 customers in the queue.
There will also be a special prize draw on opening morning. Customers who are in the queue before 7.30am will receive a raffle ticket, with one winner given the chance to take part in a supermarket sweep-style challenge, filling their trolley for free for 90 seconds.
A further draw at 7.45am will give shoppers the chance to win prizes including seven Tower Air Fryers, while a Daewoo Double Drawer Air Fryer is also up for grabs for the person who correctly guesses the number of sweets in a jar.
Customers visiting on opening morning can also enjoy a free bacon bap between 7am and 9am.

The new store will feature wider aisles and larger spaces than a traditional Iceland, reflecting The Food Warehouse's warehouse-style format. The retailer says the stores are often around twice the size of conventional Iceland sites and offer bigger packs and a wider selection.
A series of exclusive deals will be available from September 8 to 14, including Pepsi Max 24-packs for £7, Lurpak 600g for £3.07, Greggs eight-pack sausage rolls for £2.87 and Thompson's Punjana 80-pack tea for £7.
Other offers include Surf 95-wash laundry detergent for £7.50, Walkers 20-pack variety boxes for £3.25, Plenty eight-pack kitchen roll for £10 and Velvet Classic Quilted 24-pack toilet tissue for £7.
Kristian Barrett, chief operating officer at Iceland Foods, said: “We’re excited to be opening our new store in Bangor, bringing more fantastic deals and a brilliant range of frozen, grocery and fresh foods to local shoppers.
“We can’t wait to open our doors and see our customers enjoy the unrivalled variety of products available across the store.”
The Bangor store will be open 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 1pm to 6pm on Sundays.
