'We look forward to continuing our work together': Northern Ireland biotech firm secures £85,000 project with US pharmaceutical giant
The contract marks further repeat business for Fusion Antibodies and supports its strategy to build relationships with major pharmaceutical companies
A Belfast biotechnology firm has secured a contract worth more than £85,000 with a major US pharmaceutical company, marking further repeat business with the client.

Fusion Antibodies, which specialises in antibody discovery, engineering and supply for drug development and diagnostic applications, has been awarded a project involving the production and analysis of a lead antibody.
The TGE and CryoEM project will use transient gene expression (TGE) to produce the antibody, followed by cryogenic electron microscopy (CryoEM) to examine its structure.
The contract follows the successful completion of a humanisation project for the same client, announced by Fusion Antibodies in August 2025.
Work on the latest project is expected to be completed within the company’s current financial year.
Adrian Kinkaid, chief executive officer of Fusion, said: "We are delighted to have secured this further project with an established pharmaceutical client, following the successful completion of our recent humanisation programme.
"This repeat business reflects the strength of our relationship and the value of Fusion's specialist antibody development capabilities. The award also supports our strategy of developing deeper relationships with major pharmaceutical companies, providing opportunities for further collaboration and a more diversified revenue base.
“We look forward to continuing our work together to support the development of therapeutic antibodies. The TGE and CryoEM Project demonstrates Fusion’s experience in delivering high-quality therapeutic antibody services. We are excited to further build on our ongoing relationship with our Client.”
