A Newtownards beauty business founded by two lifelong friends is being celebrated as a standout local success story, as Elevated Beauty marks its first full year in business on South Street.
Founded by Eve McClements and Ellie Meek, both aged 21, Elevated Beauty has quickly built a reputation for professionalism, high standards, and exceptional client care, defying expectations often placed on young entrepreneurs.
Despite their age, Eve and Ellie bring a combined 11 years of industry experience, with backgrounds spanning brows, lash lifts, semi‑permanent makeup, and advanced beauty treatments.
In just 12 months, they have grown Elevated Beauty into a thriving salon, tripling client turnover, expanding into a team of four, and achieving an impressive 96% client retention rate.
What makes the success particularly notable is that both founders have also achieved their Level 3 Teaching qualifications within the business’s first year, a long‑term goal reached far sooner than anticipated.
