Beef cows sold to a record price of £1968 at Clogher Mart

A seasonal entry of 890 cattle on offer for the week ending Saturday 14th November produced another very strong demand for quality lots in all sections.

In the fatstock ring beef cows sold to a record price of £1968 for a 820kg Limousin to £240 per 100kg for a Crossgar producer followed by a 910kg Charolais to £200 (£1820) for an Armagh producer.

Cow heifers sold to £220 for a 790kg Charolais (£1738) for a Lisnaskea producer followed by a 640kg Limousin to £210 (£1344) for an Augher producer.

Fleshed Friesian cows sold to £130 for 790kg (£1027) for an Omagh producer.

Fat bulls sold to £1422 for a 900kg Limousin to £158.

Beef steers sold to £208 for a 700kg Simmental.

Fat heifers sold to £217 for a 650kg Blonde d’Aquitaine In the Store Rings Forward Steers sold £1820 for a 815kg Charolais (£223) for Omagh producer and selling to £241 per 100kg for a 660kg Limousin to £1590 for an Armagh producer.

Med weights sold to £282 per 100kg for a 485kg Limousin to £1370 for a Crossgar producer.

Store heifers sold to £1480 for a 650kg Charolais (£227) and selling to £229 per 100kg for a 515kg Aberdeen Angus to £1160.

Med weights sold to £236 for a 470kg Limousin to £1110.
