Full steam ahead for Balmoral Show despite Covid-19 outbreak

It is currently ‘full steam ahead’ for this year’s Balmoral Show despite the current Covid-19 Outbreak, event organisers have said.

In a statement issued yesterday (Thursday) the RUAS said that members of the public, exhibitors and livestock remain their top priority and organisers have comprehensive plans in place to ensure their safety and well-being.

The statement continued: “In light of the recent Covid-19 outbreak, we are updated regularly on the latest Government advice through the Events Industry Forum. At present, there is no ban on any events taking place in the UK and businesses are advised to operate as normal.

“In the lead up this year’s Show that takes place from Wednesday 13th - Saturday 16th May, we will continue to monitor any developments and follow Government advice, taking appropriate action if required,” it added.
