Top NI secondary school asks pupils in two year groups to stay at home after pupils test positive for COVID-19

In a statement, posted online, they advise that the cases have been found amongst pupils in Year 10 and Year 14.

“There has been one positive case within Year 14 and one positive case within Year 10,” says the statement.

“Until we can fully establish close contacts, the college is following the PHA’s advice:

- All Year 14 students must not come to school on Monday

- All Year 10 students must not come to school on Monday”

It advises parents: “Your child does not need a COVID-19 test unless they display symptoms.

“The PHA will only contact you if your child is considered a close contact.

“

Self-isolation information will be shared with the school community on Monday.

“We will issue advice and further information as soon as we can on Monday.

“Please contact the PHA if you need any further information/advice on self-isolation.”
