Appeal for information after man in 20s stabbed in home in NI seaside town

Detective Sergeant Lorimer said: “We received a report at 7.50am that a man had been stabbed at a house in the Fogarty Crescent area of the town.
“The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Hide Ad“Three men, aged 26, 29 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including aggravated burglary with intent to steal and grievous bodily harm with intent.
“They remain in custody, assisting with our enquiries.
“Our enquiries continue and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 256 of 25/02/21.”

Thursday, 25 February 2021 following reports of an incident in the Leyland
Road area of Ballycastle.
NIAS despatched two Emergency crews to the scene.
Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Causeway Hospital by ambulance.”
Ballycastle Sinn Féin Councillor, Cara McShane, has condemned a stabbing incident in the town which took place around 8am this morning.

Hide AdShe said: “Once again people in this town have woke up to news of another anti-social incident.
“There has been a marked increase in anti-social behaviour, concentrated in the same area of Ballycastle.
“There is no space in our society for this type of behaviour.
“While people are volunteering and helping others during this health pandemic, a mindless minority on the other end of the spectrum are wracking havoc in this community and casting a dark cloud over other people’s lives.
