40 fewer Covid positive patients in NI hospitals today than yesterday as DoH record six new deaths

The Department of Health (DoH) noted there were 434 inpatients with Covid-19 on Wednesday afternoon, 40 fewer than Tuesday when there were 474 Covid positive inpatients.
All six deaths occurred in a hospital stetting within the last 24 hours.

Hide AdTwo of the people to pass away were female and four were male.
One of the six people to sadly pass away was aged between 40-59; two were aged between 60-79 and three were aged 80 or older.
The six deaths occurred in the following local council areas: Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (one); Antrim and Newtownabbey (three); Mid and East Antrim (one) and not known (one).
There are currently 152 intensive care unit (ICU) beds in Northern Ireland; 53 occupied by patients with Covid-19; 49 by patients with non-Covid-19 conditions and 50 unoccupied.

Hide AdHospital bed capacity is currently at 97 per cent across Northern Ireland.
The DoH also recorded 297 new infections in the last 24 hours.
It means the total amount of infections recorded in the last seven days now stands at 2,047 and total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic to 109,785.
