"They have never been used because as many people of that generation do, when they’re given something of wonderful quality, she was keeping them ‘for a special occasion’.

"She heard about what we are doing and asked that they be given to us to make scrubs for NHS because she knows there will never be an occasion more special than this.

"I have been entrusted with their transformation into scrubs and I don’t know whether I can bear to cut them.

"Maybe when I stop bawling my eyes out, I’ll pick up the courage to start the next lap of their journey.

"My heart can’t cope ❤️".
